TDM 1.0.71 available
Track of the Day Mobile isn’t only for the handlebar or the car dashboard –
the app runs as a full Windows application on your desktop. With the new
version 1.0.71, the Windows build is on par with the mobile versions:
offline vector maps, offline routing, 3D relief, the curvy-roads overlay and the
KAKIMOTO fun router are all on board.
Why a Windows version?
Hardly anyone plans a route on a phone. On a large screen, with mouse and keyboard, dragging
waypoints, fine-tuning twisty sections and reordering a multi-day tour is far quicker.
The Windows version is not a stripped-down planning tool – it is the same app:
same map engine, same routing engine, same data. Whatever you plan on the desktop is waiting
on your phone via the Track of the Day Portal.

- More robust offline relief: If the detailed elevation package for a region is missing,
the altitude display now falls back to an alternative source instead of staying blank. The app also
warns you when 3D relief isn’t available for the area you’re looking at. - No more gaps in the world view: When zooming far out, the base map is now shown
reliably – no more flickering tiles at continent level. - Memory-pressure watchdog: A new watchdog detects low memory early and releases map
buffers in a targeted way. The app stays stable during long sessions with a lot of map panning. - Diagnostics upload: If something goes wrong, a debug session can be uploaded to the
TD Portal with a single click – which makes bug reports considerably faster for everyone involved. - User interface: Better contrast in the navigation bar, selection fields in the accent
colour, and various layout corrections.
Carried over from the previous versions: the complete, multilingual online help,
localised routing presets, download progress indicators for map packages and tile cache management.

System requirements: Windows 10 (version 1809) or newer, 64 bit.
Offline maps need several gigabytes of free disk space, depending on the regions you choose.
For the road, too
Windows is just one of several platforms. The very same app is available for Android – including
Android Auto – and for iPhone and iPad with CarPlay.
Routes, maps and settings travel between your devices via the portal.
